God has given me the authority to walk in devine health, however I needed to be submissive and obedient in putting down the cane. The cane was a crutch and when I would think of not using it fear began to creep in my heart. I had to constantly remind myself that devine and perfect health were mine. I needed to walk in faith and stand on God’s word as stated in Isaiah 53:5 “……by His stripes we are healed”. By being submissive and obedient I used my authority that has been given to me to walk in perfect health.

Monica, it’s natural that the spirit of fear would have creep up, as there was a dependency on using the cane. However, you stepped out in your authority declaring the word of God, terminating fear, which in-turn rewarded you with total victory. Hallelujah!

I had recently been tested with walking in my authority regarding my family. I know that the word says – “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord!” – Joshua 24:15 I stand on that verse continually but recently my faith was tested. I wanted to jump right back into the old way of handling things. Shouting, yelling, stressing! Then I remembered that I had authority over this situation. I had to flip switch and get back on track. It was not the easiest thing to do, so I had to be obedient to the word. I had to cast my cares upon the Lord! I had to submit and let God handle it; not stress about it! I realize now that it was all a smokescreen. I continue to use my authority to keep the devil up under my feet in this and every situation.

Roxanne, I fully understand. It’s so easy sometimes to revert to our old ways of doing things. I certainly wish I was more knowledgeable of God’s Word and my authority when raising my son. We need it so much in today’s world. Continue to stand on His Word and walking in your authority so that you and your family can live victoriously.

        • Monica I know exactly what you mean when you said, you wish you had knew more about God’s word concerning raising your son. I wish that to. I wish I had push them to have a relationship with God instead of pushing them to go to church. Then they, on their own, would have desired to go to church. I hold on to the word which is powerful and believe it is not too late for the relationship between my sons and God to blossom.

Roxanne, obeying the word takes faith, as it is stepping out of the natural and flowing in the super natural. Sometime I find myself in that same situation. But it’s good when we can catch ourselves, and rise up in our authority. Amen!

Roxanne, I stand in agreement with you concerning your family. The world is constantly pulling on our family and our children but we have to stand firmly planted on the Word. God honors His Word.

There was a time when I had to choose between paying my tithes or paying my Internet bill. This was a hard decision, as my Internet service was getting ready to be disconnected. I had to stand in my authority using Malachi 3:10 which talk about proving God to meet my needs. Having the Internet was a need as I was attending The University of the Virgin Island and needed the Internet in order to complete my assignments. However, I choose to be submissive and obedience by paying my tithes. Expectedly, God was true to his word. I received my income tax check that same week and was able to pay my Internet bill. In addition, I had extra to put in my saving. Praise God!

Lilly, that’s an awesome example of being submissive and obedient while standing in your authority. Sure, it may have seemed easier to pay your Internet bill and not your tithes. But as Malachi 3:10 states….He will meet your needs and in abundance. Not only could you pay your Internet bill but you had an overflow…an abundance. God is so faithful and wants us to use our authority more and more in our daily lives.

Yes Lilly I can concur with you because I have been there in that same situation caught between a hard place and a rock. But standing on the word of God and reminding him of what his word says, when you be obedient to it will always cause you triumph. God word is true and it cannot fail, it cannot return to him void or un answered it has to accomplish that which he please and prosper in where he sends it, and he will watch over his word to perform it.

Ladies, your views reminds me of my self, I’ve been there and i truly understand, but i had to remind myself that i cannot do this in my own strenght so i had to use the Authority that was given to me in Chris, to gain victory over the situation.

Way back when I was not faithful in paying my tithes Pastor Walker said to me Marita you are not paying your tithes don’t you know that is where your blessings are? Just like my sister in Christ Lilly, sometimes it was a choice between paying a bill or paying the tithe. We all know how the people be calling you or writing you letting you know the bill is due or over due, so I would pay the bill cause I didn’t like the people calling me Amen!!. After Pastor Walker told me that I made a conscious decision to stand in my authority and to be faithful and obedient with paying my tithes and trust God at his word. I have seen the manifestation of God’s goodness and faithfulness in my life ever since and I’m in great expectation of more.

Marita, choosing between paying tithes and paying a bill has always been a hard decision for many. One time I heard T.D.Jake say, “Many people say that they can’t afford to pay their tithes, but, he say that they can’t afford not to pay they tithes.” As simple as it may sound he was totally correct. As you stated, we have to trust God word, His word is our final authority, It can’t lie.

I forgot to include my scripture text which is Philippians 4:19 that God will supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Lilly and Marita, I have walked in your shoes concerning tithing and giving.  I submitted to the Word and became faithful and obedient in tithing and giving but I would miss it on the back end.  When I would have a short-fall and times were desperate, I would call a family member to help me out.  I thought that I was standing on Philippians 4:19 that God will supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus but then I would be looking to man to help me out.  I finally made a decision to stand in my authority and realize that “all” means “all” and that I would submit to God and be obedient to His Word. I stopped calling people to bail me out.  He’s never failed me yet and He never will.

I had to stand in my authority last week to get back into my bedroom.  I DO NOT LIKE LIZARDS!  Little did I know that one was on me (a baby lizard) and I brought it into my bedroom.  By the time I realized it and sent the kids for the flit I don’t know where it went.  Well, I sprayed every corner of the room and so I had to sleep in another room because of the smell.  The next day, I figured it was dead somewhere and was reading on my bed.  I look up and there it was on my curtain (somehow it even looked bigger).  There went the spray again and another night out of my room. I can’t remember the last time a lizard was in my house.  Finally, I said Stacy the devil laughing at you.  What class are you taking?    I decided that I was going to walk in my authority, submit to God and be obedient to The Word.  II Timothy 1:7 God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind.  I’m sleeping soundly in my room.  PRAISE GOD!!!!!

Stacy you are hilarious, I am so laughing at you. Last week I went through the same exact thing, I couldn’t sleep in my room because of the Raid smell. I didn’t want my sinus to act up. I was up and down on my bed trying to catch that thing. My grand baby was laughing at me. However, I rise up saying, God have giving me authority over every creeping thing that crepeth upon the earth. And I take a shoe, and beat it even though it was already dead. I was mad at that!

About three years ago I was browsing the internet and just happened to read about a job opening for my current position. I prayed about it and felt led to apply. However, I had great doubt and disbelief and kept putting off submitting my job application and resume. Finally on the last day day when the application was due, I stepped out in faith and submitted my application at the last hour. About (3) weeks later I received a call requesting me to come in for an interview. Fear immediately rose up again on the inside of me and kept telling me that I would not qualify for the position. I asked a family member to join me in prayer standing in agreement for the position. On the day of the interview my family member and I touched and agreed that the position was already mines. I went to the interview confident and full of the Word of God in the late afternoon. Instead of leaving after the interview was completed I was asked to step outside so they could talk. When I entered back into the interview room they told me hands down, I was the most qualified out of (5) other applicants whom they had interviewed earlier the same day and that they didn’t even need me to answer to many questions because my resume spoke for me and offered me the position on the spot.

God had already qualified me for the position and granted me favor. All I had to do was walk in my authority and submit and be obedient by stepping out in faith and applying. The scripture that I stood on and still do to this day is Psalms 37:4. “Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart.”

Rhonda, this is such an encouragement to me, there is a position that I want to apply for, but I wouldn’t fill out the application because of voices. “Oh it is a supervisor position” “they might not give it to you” “you only here a year” all these voices. I still haven’t  fill out the application.  But now because of your post I will step out in faith and apply for the supervisor position,  because I am God sheep, and I here His voice, and straight’s voice I will not follow. Amen!

Lilly, you go for that position right now. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. When the enemy rises up against you that is definitely the time to act.  He knows it is yours, you just have to believe, don’t hesitate and don’t be afraid. Be confident, it is yours!!!

Lilly, I encourage you to step out in faith and apply for the position. Faith requires action, take the first steps because with God all things are possible!

I to have a tithe testimony. I learned to tithe years ago. I am a 100% tither. In the beginning I was very skeptical basically because I was a single parent of three children and could barely make ends meet. I was told, “You can’t afford not to tithe.” I began with much apprehension. The first paycheck, which usually lasted me until the following Wednesday, now lasted into the second week. The second paycheck lasted until the very next paycheck. From that time until now, I have never been without funds. Also, it became crystal clear on how to handle paying my bills. I don’t have emergencies in my life. This was a scary time for me because I had been so use to stressing about my bills. Now life was comfortable in the area of finances. If things go wrong, for example my vehicle breaks down, it will only be because I knew it needed repair but procrastinated. I now understand the purpose of offering. The tithe is to keep the enemy from destroying what you have. The offering is for the purpose of coming out of poverty. I used my authority and faith to be submissive and obedient to God’s word on tithing and offering which guarantees by financial wellbeing.
